Fall in Love with Long Beach
After moving to Long Beach, California a little over 7 years ago, I can tell you there are many reasons to fall in love with this vibrant and diverse city. From the music, shopping and food to the family-friendly activities, Long Beach has something for everyone. If you’re looking for a place to call home or just want to explore a new city, then you should definitely consider Long Beach. Here’s why!
The People – The people of Long Beach are as diverse and vibrant as the city itself. Whether you’re looking for friends or a life partner, you can find somebody here who will appreciate your unique interests. There is always something going on in Long Beach from art shows to live music performances that can bring people together. And if you’re looking for something more low key like board game nights or trivia competitions, there are plenty of places that offer those too!
The Music, Shopping & Food – One of the best things about living in Long Beach is the abundance of music, shopping and food options available. This city is home to some of the best independent restaurants around, each one offering their own unique take on cuisine from all over the world. 4th Street, also known as Retro Row, has some of the best food and vintage shopping and highlights the true diversity of the city. And don’t forget about all the amazing live music! From punk rock shows at Alex’s Bar to (my personal favorite) Cali Vibes at Marina Green Park, there is always something happening when it comes to music in this town.
Family-Friendly Activities – If you have kids or just want something fun to do on the weekends with your family, then look no further than Long Beach. From Aquarium of the Pacific and Eldorado Nature Center to the Earl Burns Miller Japanese Garden and Museum of Latin American Art (MOLAA), there are plenty of educational opportunities available that make learning fun. And if you just want something simple, try renting a bike in Shoreline Village or a Duffy boat and cruising the Naples canals, having a beach day on the Peninsula or bayshore or visiting one of our many parks – we have plenty of those too!
With so much diversity in its people, music, food and activities, it’s no wonder why so many people love living in Long Beach. Whether you’re looking for friends or just want somewhere new to explore during your weekend getaway - this city has it all! So what are you waiting for? Come experience all that this amazing city has to offer today!
